Allison, originally from Haslett, earned her undergraduate degree from Michigan State University with a focus on working with immigrant and refugee populations. She also completed an additional major in Spanish during her studies. Allison later moved to Chicago to earn her Masters in Social Work from Loyola University of Chicago, where she specialized in trauma-informed therapy with immigrant populations.
Professionally, Allison has served as a Mental Health Coordinator at Michigan State University Health Clinics, specializing in patients with chronic medical needs. She holds certifications in the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) Modules 1-4 & Toddler Module, as well as a 40-Hour Domestic Violence Training.
Outside of work, Allison enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending quality time with her two young children.

As a mother of a neurodiverse son with complex medical needs, I understand firsthand the challenges of navigating the medical system. I am passionate about supporting parents of children with complex needs, combating feelings of isolation and stigma. It's an honor to support caregivers as they navigate the unique challenges of raising a child with special needs.
I draw from various therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness techniques, and solution-focused therapy, customizing my approach to each individual's distinct needs and goals.
